Warranty Information

General - Every Fala product is warranted for 2 years against manufacturing defects. Tool throughput can vary. Under some applications, customers have been able to get 900,000 wafer-processed per bearing kit while others could not get passed 200,000 as that represents 5 years+ of continuous production. Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty

FALA Technologies (hereafter referred as the ‘Manufacturer’) takes great pride in their products and workmanship.  For this reason, the Manufacturer offers a limited Warranty on the Robot Bearing product listed below.  The Manufacturer will repair or replace the product, at their option, upon verification of failure.  Defective parts must be sent to the Manufacturer for failure analysis.
The Manufacturer warrants all products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the periods listed:

The warranty period shall apply for a period equal to the Manufacturer’s stated product Warranty Period listed above and the Shelf Life Period (1 month) from the date product shipped by the Manufacturer or for the product’s remaining warranty period if such product is replaced under warranty.  If the product date of installation exceeds the Shelf Life Period, the warranty period listed above shall be reduced by the length of time the Shelf Life Period is exceeded.

This limited Warranty covers failure during normal use. The Manufacturer does not warrant and is not responsible for:

  • Normal wear and tear;
  • Damage caused by failure to provide correct installation, operating environment or maintenance;
  • Damage caused during shipment, other than shipment to the client if manufacturer’s carrier is used;
  • Damage caused by impact with other objects, dropping, falls, immersion in liquids or exposure to solvents or water;
  • Damage caused by a disaster such as a fire, flood, wind, earthquake, or lightning;
  • Damage caused by unauthorized attachments, alterations, modifications, or foreign objects;
  • Damage caused by accessories;
  • Damage caused by the use of the product or accessories for purposes other than for which they are customarily used;
  • Damage caused by any other abuse, misuse, mishandling, or misapplication.

Buyer shall inspect and test products promptly upon receipt.  The earliest to occur of either of the following events shall constitute an unqualified acceptance by the Buyer of the products as conforming to the Warranty set forth above, and a waiver to the buyer of any right of rejection or revocation of acceptance and any claims or defenses based on the quality of performance of the products:

  • The failure of Buyer to give notice to Manufacturer of any claim within 30 days after tender by manufacturer of delivery of products.
  • An act by Buyer inconsistent with rejection or revocation of acceptance, including, without limitation, use or resale.

The foregoing Warranty applies only if nonconforming products have been properly handled, transported, installed and maintained, as the case may be.  The foregoing Warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties.  Whether express or implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, Manufacturer will have no liability whatsoever for any damage, loss, cost, or expense (whether general, special, incidental, or consequential) suffered or incurred by Buyer as a result of or in connections with products, including but not limited to incidental damages, yield loss or Buyer product loss.  In the event products fail to perform to the foregoing Warranty, Buyer’s sole and exclusive remedy is, at the Manufacturer’s discretion, repair, replacement, or credit of some or all of the purchase price.

Notices: All notices and other communications required or permitted to be given pursuant hereto shall be in writing and shall be valid and sufficient if properly addressed and dispatched by facsimile, telex, or first class mail, postage prepaid.

If the part is believed to be defective, the following steps must be taken:

  • Contact Manufacturer to obtain a Return Material Authorization number.
  • Buyer to provide internal tracking and shipping information if required to facilitate accurate tracking of return items.
  • Send the product, prepaid, to the address listed on this Warranty Statement.
  • Include written description of defect or test results.

Severability: The terms and conditions stated in this Warranty are declared to be severable.  If any paragraph, provision, or clause in this Warranty shall be found or held to be invalid or unenforceable in any jurisdiction in which the Warranty is being performed, the remainder of this Warranty shall be valid and enforceable and the parties shall use good faith to negotiate a substitute, valid, and enforceable provision which most nearly effects the parties’ intent in entering this Warranty.
